Teodora Sutra

Teodora Sutra is undoubtedly one of my favourite models and I just loved chatting with her about Make up, skin care & even a little fashion.

Teodora is represented by 1st Options and is one of their busiest models, with bookings here and abroad, so I was very excited when she agreed to an interview and here it is for you to get a glimpse inside her beautiful world.

Hi Teodora, What skin care regime do you use morning & evening?

Every morning I wash my face with cold water, then cleanse with Vichy Purete Thermale calming cleansing solution, then I use La Roche-Posay soothing toner for sensitive skin & finish off by moisturising my face with La Roche-posays toleriane ultra face cream, which Is made for allergy prone skin. In the evening I would do the same but instead of the face cream I would use Weleda’s skin food face cream. I like using skin care that is as natural as possible.

Do you use moisturise? If so what do you use? Weleda’s skin food & La Roche-Posay

Do you have a must have skin care item? Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream! Love it.

What is your favourite beauty treatment ? I love getting microdermabrasion treatments when I go to Latvia.

Favourite foundation? Mac face & body

Favourite make up brand? Mac

Can’t live without? 8 hour cream & Rimmel mascara.

Love product? Good face cream

If you had €200 what skin care or make up would you purchase? shu uemura cleansing skin care & face oils.

Does make up change how you feel about yourself?

It makes me feel more confident on days when I have a bad skin day I don’t like wearing a lot of make up but nice brows, mascara & a little concealer I like!

And lastly what’s your favourite make up look? Natural & glowy skin, Also low the bare eye & strong lip look!

Designer or high street clothes? I think a mixture of both! But I love high street.

Do you have a favourite Irish designer? I have a few!! I’m in love with Umit Kutluk pieces & gowns, so elegant!! & new young designer on the scene called Claire Lynam.

Favourite high street store? Zara.

Clarins Eyeshadow Palette

Clarins Have Just released an eyeshadow palette which will rival urban decay’s Naked Palette and I have to say I am so far very impressed.

I have used the Naked Palette so much I am on my 2nd one in my Kit.

Clarins description of the Palette “Beige, taupe and brown are featured in a harmony of 10 eye shadows which bring out the beauty of women’s eyes while supporting human rights and the environment.”

This palette was created as part of an initiative to minimise our environmental impact: it features carefully selected materials and reusable packaging.

In addition to beautifying eyes, Clarins has joined forces with Pur Projet and has committed to planting 10,000 trees for medical or cosmetic use, which will help revive the Kuntanawa culture (Amazon). – See more here

Suzanne Jackson

Suzanne Jackson has worked so hard to achieve every bit of success and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate her on her recently published book.

I had the pleasure of working with Suzanne on a shoot for Valentines Day in the Sunday World Magazine and even then it was apparent that there was just something special about Suzanne.

Suzanne’s Daily Blog on Fashion,Beauty and Make up shot her to fame and now Suzanne also regularly does Make up Videos which can be viewed on YouTube.

Suzanne is in my opinion a beautiful person who is driven,strong,ambitious, professional and grounded. A great role model for young ladies.

And I am so proud to know Suzanne and wish her all the best with the Book and her upcoming TV career.

Pink lips

Pink is my favourite colour and I love a pretty pink lip on Brides,Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, Flowergirls, Models, Celebrities,Dancers & in fact there is rarely an occasion where I can’t chose a pink or mix one up for a client.

I have been mixing two of my favourite M.A.C. Lipsticks Candy Yum Yum & Saint Germain for some time now and Love them together!

Pippa O’Connor Ormond

Pippa O’Connor Ormond is gorgeous inside and out and is undoubtedly one of Ireland’s favourite & busiest models with Andrea Roche model agency.

Pippa is also wife to her Prince Charming Brian Ormond and Mummy to baby Ollie.

Pippa’s blog is a go to blog for all mummy’s and fashion lovers and Pippa regularly has competitions and Giveaways to reward her loyal blog followers.

Foundation tips

Have you ever bought foundation from a counter only to realise it’s too dark for you? Or find that you need a lighter foundation in winter but don’t want to buy several different shades?

My solution for this is…. White foundation! Simply mix up some of your existing foundation and add a few drops of white foundation until you reach your desired perfect match. Do a swatch test on your jaw line to make sure there is no difference between face and neck and avoid the mask effect!

White foundations are available from M.A.C. Cosmetics in Brown Thomas and Illamasqua available from DebenhamsIRE.

To make your foundation last longer apply a primer first. Primers make the skin smoother and can help diminish small lines and open pores to help you achieve a more flawless looking finish.

To get the most out of your foundation an economical tip is to apply foundations with clean hands & blend with a foundation brush as sponges can absorb a lot of your products and be very wasteful!

Kinnitty Castle provided the perfect back drop for this shoot and we were so lucky to stay in this haunted Castle the night before the shoot. Perfect location for a wedding and the staff were so lovely.

We had such fun creating two different looks for Sinead a few weeks ago and as a crew we worked together very well.

And as usual Steve’s photos are gorgeous.

For this make up look I went darker, more feline and almost ballet-esque with the make up.

Steve Burke Photoshoot – Look 1

We had such fun creating two different looks for Sinead a few weeks ago and as a crew we worked together very well.

And as usual Steve’s photos are gorgeous.

Here is look 1

We played around with the nail designs,styling,hair and for make up I decided to keep the look quite natural and let the clothes do the talking. A full list of products used will be posted on my blog soon so keep an eye out.

I’m loving using these wipes on set,at shoots,weddings and because they are natural and suitable for sensitive skin I’ve even been using them at home on my daughter too! Great for removing make up, taking the bulk from make up brushes before using brush cleaner(economical).
