Super Natural Home remedies for Skin & Hair

Super Natural, Home remedies for skin & Hair

1.Super exfoliating mask:

All you’ll need to do is add 1 teaspoon of honey to 3 tablespoons baking soda. Squeeze the oil out of 3 to 4 Vitamin E capsules to the mixture and add 3 to 4 teaspoons milk (or water if your prefer) and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.

Gently work the mixture into your skin in a circular motion, then allow to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off with water, again using a circular motion for more exfoliating action.

Are you tired of having dark eye circles? Try this DIY:

Chop and crush a sprig of mint leaves and apply to dark under eye circles for 20 mins. before rinsing. Mint can get rid of dark circles under the eyes, improve skin tone, and it feels refreshingly cool when it is applied. Just do this twice a week and you will see the difference!Home remedies for skin & Hair-01Home remedies for skin & Hair-02Home remedies for skin & Hair-03

2.Make sure your skin is fighting the dryness with this DIY Lavender Coconut Oil.

All you will need to do is mix 2 cups coconut oil, 1 cup Epsom salt, and 20 drops Lavender essential oil. Store it in a container with a tight-fitting lid until ready to use.

This will surely work wonders during your next bath!

3.Make your skin glow with an easy home remedy in 5 min.

Here’s the recipe: 3 TBSP baking soda 1 TBSP water mix together well.

Just apply to face in a circular motion and let sit for five minutes. Gently rinse off with warm water and say hello to healthy, glowing skin! Simply do this once a week!

4.Try a coconut, milk, & honey serum for hair growth and shine!

Just whisk the ingredients together and pour the mixture into an empty hand soap container for an easier distribution of the treatment.

Apply by massaging your scalp for at least 2 minutes, this will stimulate blood flow to the scalp and help nourish it. Leave it in for an hour, or if you’re in a rush, leave it on for no less than 30 min. Finally shampoo and final rise with cold water.

*Your hair will feel greasy at first, but after you let your hair dry it will look shiny, hydrated, and soft.

Do this once a month or once a week for people with really dry hair, and you will reap the rewards!

5.Suffering from dead ends?

Don’t give up on them just yet! This is especially helpful for girls who bleach/ombre their hair.

1. Heat a cup of olive oil on the stove until its hot, but not hot enough that it will burn your skin.

2. Grab your hair in your hand like a pony tail, and lower it into the olive oil, allowing the oil to saturate your unhealthy ends

3. Carefully over a sink, slowly pour the rest of the olive oil on your scalp, and comb through your hair. Massage your hair and scalp to evenly distribute the oil

4. Clip your hair up out of the way and let it sit for 15 minutes.

5. Thoroughly shampoo and condition your hair to finish the process.

Repeat this process once a week for healthier, thicker, faster growing hair!

6.Try this protein hair mask to restore and nourish those locks!

All you will need is:

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1 Egg Yolk

1 Cup WARM Water

1. Make sure your hair is freshly washed & detangled. Also, pat hair with towel to soak up moisture.

2. Mix all ingredients together.

3. Apply to damp hair. {The best way to do this is to use a bottle with a small opening at the tip and distribute throughout hair.}

4. Once mask is applied, run a comb through your hair to be sure the mask is evenly distributed.

5. Let sit for 30 mins.

6. Rinse hair with warm water & shampoo & condition as normal.

This mask creates healthy, smooth & shiny hair that has more body than before as well as encourages hair growth!

6.Want longer eyelashes? Try out this serum to help them grow.

Just mix 1/4 of aloe vera gel, 1/4 castor oil, and 1/2 vitamin E in an empty container and apply with an old, but clean mascara wand. Follow up by cleaning your lash line with a cotton bud. Repeat this every night before going to bed and you should see results in a month! Enjoy and good luck!

7.Treat yourself to a mid-week spa session at home with this DIY Healing Detox Bath!

Just mix 2 cups of Epsom salt, 1/2 cup of raw apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup of baking soda and a few drops of lavender essential oil in a warm tub and soak your cares away.

8.Take coffee grinds with olive oil, and make into a paste.

Massage well into the area with stretch marks for about 5 minutes. Then take a hot towel, and wrap it around the area for about 20-25 minutes. Remove and wash off with warm water. Also, when you are finished, apply a moisturizer to the area. The olive oil with the caffeine in the grinds, will help stimulate the area to remove the stretch marks. If you do this 1-3 times a week, you will start to notice a difference within 2 weeks!

Make Up For Ever Brush Launch

This week I went along to Make Up For Ever and attended the launch for the new make up brushes.

Not only was the wonderful Annie Gribbin there to start the evening off with an introduction to all the new Aqua and HD ranges she introduced the Master class with International Pro Trainer and Makeup Artist LAILA FRIEDLI.

mufebrush4

Laila has over 10 years experience in the makeup industry based in both Paris & Switzerland.

Her natural talent was discovered by Dany Sanz whilst she was a makeup student at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy in Paris. She then became Dany’s protege and went on to become a brand ambassador training pro-artists all over the world. Laila was an inspiration and as I was out on a school night unfortunately I didn’t get to see the make up look before I left. Few pics of the make up Laila demonstrated using HD & Aqua ranges can be seen here or go on to site to see more.

Hi Teodora, What skin care regime do you use morning & evening?

Every morning I wash my face with cold water, then cleanse with Vichy Purete Thermale calming cleansing solution, then I use La Roche-Posay soothing toner for sensitive skin & finish off by moisturising my face with La Roche-posays toleriane ultra face cream, which Is made for allergy prone skin. In the evening I would do the same but instead of the face cream I would use Weleda’s skin food face cream. I like using skin care that is as natural as possible.

Do you use moisturise? If so what do you use? Weleda’s skin food & La Roche-Posay

Do you have a must have skin care item? Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream! Love it.

Favourite foundation? Mac face & body

Favourite make up brand? Mac

Can’t live without? 8 hour cream & Rimmel mascara.

Love product? Good face cream

If you had â‚Ĵ200 what skin care or make up would you purchase? shu uemura cleansing skin care & face oils.

Does make up change how you feel about yourself?

It makes me feel more confident on days when I have a bad skin day I don’t like wearing a lot of make up but nice brows, mascara & a little concealer I like!

And lastly what’s your favourite make up look? Natural & glowy skin, Also low the bare eye & strong lip look!

Designer or high street clothes? I think a mixture of both! But I love high street.

Do you have a favourite Irish designer? I have a few!! I’m in love with Umit Kutluk pieces & gowns, so elegant!! & new young designer on the scene called Claire Lynam.

Favourite high street store? Zara.

Foundation tips

Have you ever bought foundation from a counter only to realise it’s too dark for you? Or find that you need a lighter foundation in winter but don’t want to buy several different shades?01

My solution for this is…. White foundation! Simply mix up some of your existing foundation and add a few drops of white foundation until you reach your desired perfect match. Do a swatch test on your jaw line to make sure there is no difference between face and neck and avoid the mask effect!

White foundations are available from M.A.C. Cosmetics in Brown Thomas and Illamasqua available from DebenhamsIRE.

02

To make your foundation last longer apply a primer first. Primers make the skin smoother and can help diminish small lines and open pores to help you achieve a more flawless looking finish.

To get the most out of your foundation an economical tip is to apply foundations with clean hands & blend with a foundation brush as sponges can absorb a lot of your products and be very wasteful!
