Pantone, the colour mixing company have announced the colour for the year 2019 as “Living Coral”

The Gorgeous people at The Publicity Loft have shared their top picks of Coral/Peachy tones we can add to our make up bags.

Personally I always have Coral/Peachy tones in my kit to warm up cooler complexions, even the dullest of skins can benefit from a warm hue of the wonder that is coral!

Even if you’re not a fan of peach or Coral you’d be quickly converted but a little coral blush lightly applied to the top of your cheekbones giving you a pop of colour and a youthful glow to your skin.

Still not a fan, pop some Coral/Peach lipliner,Lipstick or Lipgloss on to get the look in a more subtle way.

PIPPA O’CONNOR TO HOST ARNOTTS SHOE GALLERY EVENT THIS SEPTEMBER

Arnotts will welcome top influencer Pippa O’Connor to the newly opened Arnotts Shoe Gallery this September to host a stylish shoe and fashion workshop and show for customers.

To celebrate the recent opening of the new Shoe Gallery, Ireland’s largest women’s footwear department, Arnotts has teamed up with Pippa to host a styling segment on Saturday, 2nd September 2017 at 12pm.

Speaking about the event, Pippa said: “I’m delighted to be hosting a shoe and fashion styling segment in the newly opened Shoe Gallery on First Level in Arnotts! Everyone knows I have a weakness for shoes so I’ll be spoilt for choice in the biggest shoe department in Ireland! And now that it’s right beside the womenswear department, I don’t have too far to go to pair up my shoes with the new AW17 collections!”

 

The styling segment will take place in the Shoe Gallery on First Level where Pippa will be showcasing her “must have” shoes for the AW season, and styling them using pieces from her favourite brands from the AW17 womenswear collections in her own, signature Pippa style. Brands from the Shoe Gallery will include some of the newest additions by Jonak and Michael Kors, while Pippa will also be choosing from some of the newest brands in the womenswear department, including SET, Samsoe & Samsoe, Millie Mackintosh, Suncoo and Max & Co. 

 

Throughout the styling segment, Pippa will be talking through each of her chosen looks and sharing what she loves about the upcoming AW17 season.

I am a huge fan of Lenny Kravitz and loved seeing him in concert in Dublin years ago. 

He fell in love with Lisa Bonnet- my favourite character in The Cosby Show and when they had baby Zoë Lenny wrote a song for her “Flowers for zoë” which I loved. Zoë is the image of her mother.

Here it is! The big review of a special product with big promises.


I was hoping for a miracle in a bottle to minimise my pores and smooth out my wrinkles.

After using this product every night religiously for the last 4 weeks I have come to my verdict.

My skin feels softer and make up application is smoother. My open pores on my cheeks do seem less noticeable but not totally cured. My wrinkles(Furrows) haven’t diminished but my skin does seem somewhat healthier. 


I did also up my water intake to help the process and this did help hydrate my skin.

Overall, it’s a beautiful product to have and to use. 

Would I recommend it? 

Yes! Yes,I would. 

Why?

Because it’s a luxury everyone should witness and because of it’s pharmaceutical background and appearance along with the effect it has on your skin, it definitely does improve your skins texture and appearance although it doesn’t work miracles. 

I guess I’ll have to just keep saving for Botox and fillers and I’ll continue using my Kiehl’s apothecary preparation until a miracle in a bottle comes my way in the endless search for youth.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Light Review

You’ve all heard of it and some of you probably use it but I’ve only just tried out the popular Double wear light. The traditional No.1 best selling Estée Lauder foundation Double Wear is nearly iconic at this stage but quite heavy so the lighter version is perfect for warmer weather and for people who like a lighter finish foundation. I got samples of the foundation and have been trying them out on myself and some clients. 


The first impression I had was that it is a medium coverage finish and if a client has blemishes or skin discolouration you still need concealer. 

Also if can be quite cakey on dry skin and also not so good for more mature skins as it emphasised lines and wrinkles. 

I did find it good with people who have normal/oily skin but would definitely set with powder and a setting spray. 

I estimate about a 4-6 hr lasting time, after this time a touch up would be required around nose,mouth or oily areas. 

No allergies were flared up whilst wearing the Estée Lauder Double Wear Light. 

Application was smooth and creamy and easy to blend. 

Colours I tried were 2,3 and 4. 

4 being suitable for my fake tan days! 


What Estée Lauder claims 

Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup: Sheer-to-medium coverage. Natural finish. SPF10 protection. Up to 15-hours wear. Long-wear makeup is now lightweight makeup. Fresh, natural, comfortable. Goes on sheer, leaves skin free to breathe all day. Controls oil, resists smudging and won’t “melt” off through heat and humidity. For a look that stays vibrant and fresh whether it’s a workday, a workout or a weekend. It’s makeup that keeps up. Oil-free. Photo-friendly. Fragrance-free. Non-acnegenic. Dermatologist-tested.

Overall my conclusion: 

I see where the hype generates from and it is a good addition to any make up kit especially for Estée Lauder fans who will not use anything else, it gives a medium coverage without looking too harsh for day time and it’s colour range is good. Not a strong perfumed product. And wears well especially when set with powder or finishing sprays. Blends better without primer being used and matches up well with fake tan users.
